The story
He was born in Cottage Mahaicony, Guyana, and migrated to Canada at seventeen to join his family. He first sang at sixteen at the Pelican Inn in Georgetown, then joined the Canadian military in 1999, serving nine years, and returned to music professionally in 2008.
The road since has run through Toronto, Jamaica and New York, with the Caribbean, and in time a European and African tour, on the horizon.
The name
The name Teleskope came from the Telescope Humanity Charity he founded, and from people who said he could see things from far. An analytical mind turned on the human condition, and songs of redemption in language that never glorifies violence or berates women.
The music
Two albums stand behind him, Look Again and Diary of a Human Being, thirteen tracks that have reached radio from Jamaica outward, among them No Man's Puppet, Thanks Mama, and the title track. A third, Natural Resource, is on the way, its singles Sleeping Giant and My Paycheck Is Taking Me Nowhere already making the rounds.
The word
Beyond the music he is a writer. Nine years in the army were spent writing in the spare hours, and he has not stopped since. The first of three volumes of his book, In This World But Not Of This World, is on the way.
